KTEL CEO Sean McEwen did the math..
Here is a rough breakdown/analysis, but please remember this can change because first there this all needs to be signed into law then comes the FCC’s interpretation of that law.
Rough Reimbursement Breakdown (states, FCC, etc.)
ACF Base Rate Non-Tribal $30
ACF Base Rate Tribal $50
ACF Tribal Enhancement $25 (in addition to the ACF tribal base rate)
Lifeline Base Rate $9.25
Lifeline Tribal Enhancement $25 (in addition to the Lifeline base rate)
California Lifeline State Enhancement $14.85
Maryland State Enhancement $15 (not sure post EBB but rumors they will extend or morph into something)
Kentucky Lifeline State Enhancement $3.25
At “50,000 foot level” here are few examples and we expect to be able to receive both ACF funds and Lifeline funds.
Non-Tribal (for states that don’t offer enhancements) - $30 + $9.25 = $39.25
Tribal (for states that don’t offer enhancements) $50 + $9.25 + $25 + 25 = $109.25
California Non-Tribal - $30 + $9.25 + $14.85 = $54.10
California Tribal - $50 + $9.25 + $25 + $25 + $14.85 = $124.10
Maryland Non-Tribal - $30 + $9.25 + $15 = $54.25
Kentucky Non-Tribal - $30 + $9.25 +$3.25 = $42.50
Didn’t bother to calculate Tribal for KY and MD.
